2019 marks the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings on the Normandy coast. This anniversary speaks much to us about the providence of God. Official commemorations tend to focus on the veneration of ‘freedom and democracy’, and, yes, there is a place for that, but these abstract concepts say nothing about the wretched, fallen state of man, nor about his desperate need to be reconciled to His Maker.

It is the Trinitarian God who oversees the affairs of the nations and who determines the outcome of battles. The Minister has put together a short 10 minute video outlining the mighty hand of the Trinitarian God in the events of D-Day in June 1944. As we consider these matters, may we as a nation humble ourselves before the Lord, and learn from the great lessons of our history.
